Taking a company from the brink of bankruptcy to international recognition is no small feat, but it’s a big part of Danna Pratte’s story. Armed with a Master of International Management degree and a passion for wellness, Pratte transformed an obscure business into the multi-million-dollar global supplement giant, NBPure, with her at the helm as CEO.

Her story starts growing up in a small Texas town of just 500 people, where she says she had limited exposure to proper nutrition. “Childhood obesity led to me being shamed and bullied,” she says. But, when she started college, Pratte decided it was time for a change. “I embarked on a journey to better understand how nutrition affects health and wellness. By the time my husband and I settled in Phoenix, I had gained a wealth of knowledge about wellness, a passion that soon became central to my life and business.”

What set Pratte apart from the rest was her foresight. She recognized the potential in the wellness industry long before it became a mainstream trend. Pratte chose to focus on 100% all-natural, non-GMO ingredients, personally overseeing their sourcing. In an industry rife with unnecessary fillers and synthetic additives, Pratte made it her mission to keep her products pure. “It’s important to me to provide the best natural options for people looking to improve their health, which is why all of our formulations are thoughtful and only have ingredients that serve a purpose.”

In 2019, Pratte took on another ambitious project, co-founding and becoming the CEO of The Candidly, a wellness brand catering to women who felt disillusioned with traditional wellness brands. The aim was to create content for women over 35 seeking practical solutions for their lives. “The platform quickly gained attention from notable figures like Whole30’s Melissa Urban and The Gottman Institute.”

Making An Impact

With two thriving businesses to her name, Pratte is on a mission to educate people around the world about wellness and make a meaningful change in the industry. She envisions her brand, NBPure, as a global force with no borders, uniting people with a common goal of achieving a healthy, fulfilling life. “We are living in a time when people want to be healthy, they want great, quality products that are proven to work, and they want solutions from companies that are honest and conscientious about things like their individual health, family health, global health. We want this to be a brand without borders, because we all share many of the same goals – a healthy, amazing, incredible life.”

When it comes to building a successful brand, Pratte offers these three tips.

  1. Remember to value yourself and your health. It’s easy to put your health on the back burner, but if you’re not feeling your best, you can’t perform your best.
  2. Invest in people that believe in you, your mission and your passion. The right people will help you reach and exceed your goals, and you’ll have fun doing it.
  3. Hard work should always be prioritized and never underestimated. It’s what separates the winners.

Pratte hopes her journey from a small Texas town to the helm of NBPure and The Candidly serves as an inspiration to others who are struggling to know they can turn the tides of their business and leave an indelible mark on the global landscape of health and wellness.
